Our opinion
Lake Mälaren can be glimpsed from the property. Not like a postcard — but as a tangible presence. A lake that the Vikings sailed up for centuries whilst it was still connected to the sea. These waters, which carried trade, wars and the great families of the north, are there, just a few steps away, visible through the gap in the trees. The house, for its part, turns its back on all this with the indifference of old Swedish mansions that have witnessed enough stories to no longer need to recount them. Whitewashed walls, terracotta tiles, a stable below – a simplicity that time has left untouched. It now waits, without impatience, for its future occupant – the one who will understand it and make it their own.
