With several generations of my family being from Corsica, I am from the south on my father's side and from this region of Haute-Corse on my mother's. My father bought this property in ruins in the sixties and after a complete rehabilitation, it became our family home.
The house is located in the middle of ten hectares of land on the heights of Valle-di-Campoloro with a breathtaking view of the coast and its natural environment. Completely restored in 1980, it has retained its original square architecture with four sections of dry stone walls. Discreet traces of the past, some of which have been altered with traditional materials and authenticity, remain visible such as the solid wooden beams on the ceiling, the terracotta floors and the racks on the windows.
The house probably dates back to the 18th century. Still surrounded by two rivers, it was once integrated into an ensemble that served the flour mill. Several families lived on the property and this house was the miller's home.

The Romanesque chapel of Santa Cristina in Valle-di-Campoloro, dating from the 9th century and classified as a Historic Monument, is a treasure of Corsican heritage. Right next to the house (and I have the key) is Veni E Posa - a restaurant located in a hut in the middle of the vineyards of the Terra Vecchia estate with a breathtaking view of the Diana pond. It is a truly unique place. The waterfall of Ucelluline, four kilometres away, is a natural, wild and unspoiled spot for a dip in the fresh, clear water. The Ranch Evasion offers horse riding for adults and children. The beaches of Solenzara are very peaceful, even in the height of summer, because they can only be reached by the sea.
The house is spread over three floors. The ground floor consists of three bedrooms and a bathroom. On the first level is a living/dining room with a kitchen. Outside are an east-west facing terrace, another kitchen and a dining room under an awning. Two bedrooms and a bathroom, as well as a shower room located in an annex with a laundry room are located on the top floor.
