Nicknamed "le Château de la Mère” (the mother's castle), the property looks more like a vast villa with Italian accents, whose yellow ochre façades, dotted with dark green shutters, let in the light. We find it at the end of a narrow road that winds through wooded hills, which roll down to the Mediterranean we can see on the horizon. A tall, colourful outline surrounded by greenery, this recently renovated holiday home is a haven of peace where silence competes only with the unobstructed view. Joie de vivre will be the order of the day here, thanks to the bright colours of the interior décor and the unique feeling you will have of presiding over a land free from any disturbances. Relaxing by the pool, working out on the tennis court, enjoying a meal under the stars: will you really need to go down into the valley?
We were looking for a vineyard, but it was love at first sight that led us to acquire this estate. There wasn't a single vine planted, and yet the aura emanating from the place enchanted us. Its unique atmosphere, unspoilt architecture and the beauty of its natural surroundings made it an obvious choice. Today, we are committed to revealing all of its magic and starting a new page, a combination of tradition and renewal.
The château is halfway between a Provençal farmhouse and an Italian villa, with a stone construction whose façades have been renovated with lime wash paint, giving it a warm, natural patina. The building is distinguished by its spacious ceilings, punctuated by large arches, which lend the spaces a classic elegance and fluidity. Inside, each room tells a story, thanks to a unique decor blending Asian influences with Louis XVI and Empire styles. All of the furniture has been carefully sourced, with an emphasis on authenticity and timelessness. There is nothing new or contemporary here, just a timeless soul where every object has found its place over the years.
Built at the end of the 18th century, the Château de la Mère owes its name to a wealthy woman from Marseilles with a burnt face, who had the house built so that she could walk here out of sight. As a tribute to her home town, she had a statue of the Bonne Mère erected as the castle's crowning glory. Over time, the site naturally inherited its nickname, the Château de la Mère. Ironically, I'm a maxillo-facial surgeon, I repair damaged faces...
A haven of peace nestled in the heights of Sainte-Maxime, with breathtaking views over the bay of Saint-Raphaël. With an estate of several dozen hectares sheltered from the hustle and bustle of the city, the château offers an enchanted interlude to practise the art of Provençal living. In addition to its facilities, which include a swimming pool, tennis court, gardens and breath-taking views, we offer a range of à la carte services for a tailor-made experience: private chef, chauffeur, exclusive tours and much more.
Cotignac and its troglodyte houses, the mysterious abandoned village of Vieux Revest, right in the heart of the estate, and Bargème, with its breathtaking views. The Villecroze caves, perfect for cool weather. Climb Roquebrune Rock at sunrise, hike Cap du Dramont opposite the Esterel mountains, or explore the wild paths of the Pointe de l'Église on the Saint-Tropez peninsula. Lake lovers will prefer the turquoise waters of Sainte-Croix. Food and drink lovers can sample great rosé wines at the Commanderie de Peyrassol, Château de Berne or Château La Coste, which combines contemporary art with fine dining. "Chez Bruno" in Lorgues for its legendary truffles, you can sit with your feet in the sand at "Club 55", enjoy fine cuisine at "Lily of the Valley" or a quieter dinner at "Bistro Cheval Blanc" in Saint-Tropez. Fans of antiques will be delighted at the Jas des Robert, a veritable Provençal Ali Baba's cave.
A combination of unspoilt nature and timeless elegance, the château offers an inspiring interlude in a refined and authentic setting with work spaces that encourage reflection, creativity and cohesion. The venue offers tailor-made services for any event or business gathering. The accommodation capacity is 18 beds and, from the end of 2025, a further 20 beds in an outbuilding/dormitory.
